Orang Utan and Charcoal Factory with Lunch from Penang
Departure: Daily 0900 hours
Duration: 6 hours
Travel to Bukit Merah via the 25 km long Penang second bridge, to see and observe the natural habitat of Orang Utans living in a small island. These primates are orphans undergoing rehabilitation for future release into the wild. They are friendly to visitors who are separated by a large cage tunnel which makes it appear as if the humans are under captivity while they roam freely on the island. Stop for lunch, and on the way back pass the Taiping Lake Gardens and visit the nearby charcoal factory to witness the interesting process of transforming mangrove wood into charcoal.
Inclusions: Hotel pickup and drop off, English speaking driver cum guide, entrance fees, boat ride, lunch
