Sandakan and Orang Utan Sanctuary
Departure: Daily 6:00 am
Duration: 8 hours
Early morning transfer to airport to board a plane for Sandakan to visit the world’s largest Orang Utan Sanctuary. At the sanctuary, young, orphaned or captured Orang Utans are gradually rehabilitated into the wild. This process offers an opportunity for visitors to see Orang Utans up close in their natural habitat. A boardwalk leads to a viewing gallery and feeding platform where these smart animals – the closest resemblance to humans, are fed twice a day. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before a tour of Sandakan, visiting the market, the water village, and the Chinese temple. After the tour, transfer to the airport for a return flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
